House of commons digital exclusion debate

There will be a debate in the House of Commons on Wednesday 28 February at 4.30pm about how older people are being locked out of services because they have gone online. 

It shouldn’t be so hard to do basic things like booking a medical appointment, applying for a Blue Badge for disabled parking or paying for parking. It’s time to stop online being the only option. 

We need as many MPs as possible to attend – and speak on the importance of offline options. 

Age UK have been championing this and have created a useful form where you can ask your local MP to attend.  To further make the point regarding digital exclusion, email is the fastest way to contact your MP and as the debate is next week, the focus is on the digital contact option.  However if you wish to write to your MP you can do so via:
