Annual General Meeting
We hold an AGM each October to decide our policy direction for the forthcoming year.
We have block-booked accommodation for delegates and must confirm final numbers with the hotel in early September. To help us do this, the deadline for confirming your attendance at the AGM is
Wednesday 2 September 2026.
WHAT IS THE AGM
Members representing our local groups and branches come together every year to decide what is most important to them. Each group can put forward an idea, through a Motion for debate.
If those present agree with the Motion, it becomes CSPA policy and may be taken forward as a campaign.
Timings
The AGM starts on Wednesday with a buffet lunch for all attendees from 12 noon.
The meeting begins at 2pm and finishes at 5:30pm. This is followed by a 3-course gala dinner at 7pm.
Thursday’s meeting starts at 9:15am sharp and closes at 2:45pm
Agenda & New delegates
The AGM Booklet contains the full agenda, along with details of all motions and speakers.
The Guidance for New Delegates explains the processes and procedures of the AGM, helping both first-time and returning delegates understand how the meeting will be conducted and what to expect.
Transport arrangements
Those travelling by car can use the hotel car park. There will be sufficient spaces, and parking is free for hotel guests.
If you are travelling by train, CSPA has once again arranged a shuttle bus service to and from Coventry railway station. Buses will depart from the station at 11.30am and 12.30pm on Wednesday 7 October, with a return coach leaving the hotel for the station at 3.15pm on Thursday 8 October.
If you wish to book a place on the shuttle bus, please ensure you complete the booking form. Booking forms have been sent to all groups or can be requested by emailing enquiries@cspa.co.uk.
Who is able to attend
Funded places are available for a delegate and a sponsored representative from each of CSPA groups and branches.
These attendees are chosen by each group/branch in advance.
We also have funded places for 12 members that aren’t part of an active group. Individual members that would like to attend should contact enquiries@cspa.co.uk
